This beeswax thread wax is designed to help threads glide more smoothly during hand stitching. Used lightly on thread, it helps reduce tangling, fraying, and breakage, making it easier to work with a wide range of fibres.

How it works
A small amount of wax coats the thread, helping individual fibres bind together. This allows the thread to pass more smoothly through fabric while adding gentle grip, so stitches sit neatly and securely.

Helpful for fine and delicate threads
Thread wax is especially useful for embroidery, hand sewing, quilting, leatherwork, and bookbinding. It can help tame delicate, metallic, or hand-dyed threads and reduce dye transfer onto fabric during stitching.

Easier threading
Waxing the tip of the thread helps seal loose fibres, making it easier to guide through the eye of the needle and reducing frustration when threading.

Made with care

How to use
Lightly glide your thread across the beeswax to coat it, then run the thread through your fingers to distribute evenly.

Sizes
Removable thread wax: approximately 37 mm in diameter and weighs 6 to 7 g (not including container).
Non-removable thread wax: approximately 39 mm in diameter and weighs 9 to 10 g (not including container).

Container
Aluminium screw-top container measuring approximately 40 mm in diameter (outer rim) and 17 mm in height with lid.
